AG DENTAL - OUR STORY
AG Dental is owned by Allister Griffin (Managing Director). Allister has a degree (with honours) in Agricultural Engineering with Business Management (2001) and first started work in Agriculture Horticultural Environmental Systems.
With experience working with industry leaders like Minerva and Schein in Ireland, Allister was head hunted by Dental Services Direct. In April 2008, Allister started the AG Dental journey from humble beginnings in a garage, a kitchen table and a van.
Allister moved to his first work premises in Portishead then Hambrook before moving to Shrivenham in Swindon in September 2013. The business went from strength to strength, outgrowing many work premises along the way to reach their current premises in 2018 with 3 office areas, upstairs store room, warehouse and a workshop!
Allister now heads up a team of 5 and together they deliver a full offering of dental engineering services and products along with bespoke dental cabinetry services, all to extremely high standards.

Native from Czech and been over in the UK since 2005. Originally a fitness instructor before joining AG Dental in 2017. Love to travel (the further the better) and always look forward to the next holiday that has been booked! A gin lover (gin pantry in kitchen), foodie and enjoys walks with the husband and Rhodesian Ridgeback Meisie. Mum to 2 daughters who love competitive swimming so always have frizzy hair from sitting at the pool side reading a book or trying to study.
Emma Hicks
Sales & Operations Manager
1st employee to join Allister at AG Dental nearly 10 years (Feb 2024) , started as a Bookkeeper/administrator and as the business has grown became the Office Manager, moved onto Sales and now the Sales & Operations Manager. Mum to 3 football mad boys (including the husband) and a Hungarian Vizsla, Maggie who enjoys lots of field walks. Greece and St Ives are favourite holiday destinations (with or without the kids!) Love 80s music and still watch re-runs of Friends! A real food lover and enjoy cooking for the family and prepping food for the week on a Sunday! Always love a catch up and a glass of fizz with the girlfriends, going to the theatre (love the ballet) or a really good restaurant with her husband Jon.
Richard Egan
Field Engineer
Richard has 14 Years field service experience in the medical sector and is a fully competent Service Engineer having passed the City & Guilds Accredited Programme for Validations and Diploma in Compressed Air Management.
With a calm and methodical approach to problem solving, Richard enjoys the fault finding.
Outside of work Richard is a Motorcycle enthusiast and Heavy Metal Fan.
Mike Harris
Field Engineer
Married, to Anita who is a paramedic, one son who is a doctor, phd in biochemistry, who is a research scientist at Oxford university. My career is based around electrical and medical engineering. I regularly enjoy clay shooting and walking, plus going on holiday with the wife.
Rupert Smallpage-Mitchell
Field Engineer
Over 30 years experience as a field service engineer across differing sectors. A passionate follower of Gloucester Rugby. A keen cricketer. Father to twin girls, husband to a very busy wife. A rocket and aviation geek, love music and anything sci-fi. The answer to life the universe and everything is actually 42”.
